Barbecue Crackers

Here is a recipe (sadly, no photo!) that I wanted to share with you after my potato chip addiction post. Somehow, I got side-tracked along the way, but here it is!
Missing bbq flavored potato chips? These are just as addictive.
Barbecue Crackers:
1 cup of any barbecue sauce (that is compatible w/your diet)
2 c sunflower seeds (mine were sprouted and dehydrated previously)
1/2 c shredded carrot
1 bell pepper (roasted would be even more delicious!)
1/2 tsp fine sea salt (or less if you like less salt, or are using high-sodium bbq sauce)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs chia seeds (also called salba)
1 tbs hemp seeds
1 tbs flax seeds
Pour the chia seeds into the barbecue sauce to soak for a few minutes to help them “gel” and then pour sauce/chia mixture into food processor with half of the sunflower seeds, flax, carrots, pepper, and spices (leaving out the hemp seeds.) Pulse until combined, but not entirely smooth. Stir other half of sunflower seeds into the blended mixture. Spread on paraflex/silpat/parchment-lined tray and dehydrate on a low temp until crispy, then break into pieces. Makes about 20 medium-sized crackers- nice and sturdy for spreading hummus or cream cheese onto (not so great for dipping/scooping however.)
Enjoy!

These sound wonderful! I have been grain-free for over a year and would love a good cracker! Can’t wait to try them. Thanks!
